Global IP Alliance Conference (May 2025)

The 2025 Global IP Alliance Conference took place on May 22 at the beautiful premises of the University of San Diego, California and what a day it was!

With around 130 participants, the event brought together a vibrant and diverse group of stakeholders from across the global intellectual property ecosystem, including leading voices in IP, national and international organizations, SMEs, and key players from both the public and private sectors.

Global Intellectual Property Alliance (GLIPA) in partnership with the United States IP Alliance (USIPA), the California IP Alliance (CAIPA), and the University of San Diego, offered a full day of impactful discussions, strategic collaboration, meaningful networking and fruitful opportunities igniting the cooperation spirit of the attendees. Our shared mission – to bring IP to the hands of all – was felt throughout the day’s sessions and conversations.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the moderators, speakers, board members, attendees and the local teams for the invaluable contributions. A special thank you to our sponsors, whose support made this event possible.

Pre-Conference visit to Qualcomm

This year, we were honored to have Qualcomm join forces with us as a key partner of our Global IP Alliance Conference and privileged to be invited to their headquarters in San Diego, the day prior to our Conference.

Over 30 distinguished participants—including key leaders in the global IP community and valued GLIPA colleagues—took part in this unique experience. The visit offered a compelling look into Qualcomm’s 40-year journey of innovation and leadership, and fostered valuable peer connections ahead of the conference. It also provided fresh perspective on how organizations like Qualcomm, through the use of IP relentlessly innovates transforming businesses, enriching lives, fortifying societies and shaping the future.

A sincere thank you to Qualcomm for their partnership and warm hospitality!
